One year @lnt Infotech:Part 1-Reliving Chennai memories
After long time came back to write something the occasion which
urged me to write, is day i.e.24 April. Exactly
one year ago on 24 April 2012 journey of actual life started for me, start of
professional career with lnt infotech @Chennai. Thought of writing something on this
occasion came in my mind to cherish our
memories and take you all again to relive our old Chennai days ,I
am sure this memories will take you back
in to past and u will also feel nostalgic like what I am feeling now.
so here I go……
MUMBAI --------->CHENNAI
I was very much excited as, I had never been away from my
family this was first time i was going to live my independent life, going away
from family and friends. Journey started on 21st April with two persons Krutin
Palsodkar and Rohan Mande. I was knowing both of them only from past two days
as from facebook , we got to know that
we are going to board same train so it was totally great experience meeting
both of them first time directly at CST to board the train. long distance train
journey itself was first experience for me, three of
us were curious as our train left Maharashtra and entered Andhra Pradesh,
asking our fellow passengers about all possible information we can get about Chennai
and places in Chennai where we were supposed to join our office. After long
hectic journey of almost 30 hours we reached Chennai, the place with not only
unknown faces but unknown language too.
Joining day
24th April, everyone was on time, all were excited as they
were going to be part of lnt infotech. Amazing thing was even though no one
there met before, everyone was knowing each other, thanks to our admin Nikesh Prasad
who brought all of us together on facebook group. During long day of boring and
hectic process of joining, we get to know each other through formal introduction,
came to know about hidden talents of our new friends, people cracking jokes,
sharing their stories how they waited so long for joining, had great fun
activities and team games and important to mention that we won one of the team activity
with our team captain Prajakta Ninave(tudtudi).
Training.
hahhaha.... you people know why I m laughing very well . Training??? , we
never thought that we were there for training it was like trip to Chennai. Training
room was like talent hunt stage, daily new talent was coming on the floor, and
new games were played. If we would have got any idea about how will be training
earlier, we would have come prepared with more funny games to play in classroom.
Best part was punishment for late comers, no one would have imagined such punishment,
dance in front of classroom. And daily morning we used to get one dance number
for sure. we used to get only one free day i.e Sunday in week, but i remember we
never wasted our Sunday,it was the time to explore the Chennai.the very first
trip of our batch to the marina beach was full of fun,and opportunity to know
all of you very well .then the tail started for exploring Chennai with tirupati, pondecherry and many more
local famous places in Chennai.
Stay at villa (Splits villa as we
used to call it) in Chennai
When we first saw the villa, we were like f*&^….. is this
the place where we gonna stay? It was like royal palace, with lush green lawn
surrounded by 10 odd rooms. everyone choose their room partners on first day,
but funny thing was after few days people were not knowing in which room they actually
leave. first shopping in Chennai (buying clothe washing soap and brush), early
morning queue to occupy washrooms to get ready, running into other rooms to
take water or to see whether washroom is free, rushing to reach office on time
(how many times we reached on time that is blunder), haunted stories of villa,
caretakers murder and revenge story, brave attempts made to speak in Tamil(under
guidance our Tamil teacher SIR
Rohitkumar Patil),midnight fashion shows in villa, birthday celebrations in
lawn, having Dinner together (in Chennai dinner means 2 dosas and
mango, lemon, tomato…and god knows what other kinds of rice) each and everything
was loaded with fun and lots of joy which I will definitely treasure for my
life.
I will take this opportunity to write something about my room partners, first Krutin my journey partner from Mumbai to Chennai, very fun loving, enthusiastic and most important very much disciplined guy. I will definitely share my experience about his discipline. if I have to go to office in morning at 8,what i used to do is wake up at 6 ,see who’s there in washroom, if no one(which used to happen very rarely as Pritam, the morning guy)is there ? ask Pritam to go and get ready, then I used to sleep till all others get ready. I used to get ready around 7:45 then ironing clothes and polishing shoes while krutin was “on door to lock the door”, but what to say about krutin ? he gets ready earlier night only, ironed clothes besides his bed, with socks, belt ,hanker chip ,wallet ,deo, shoe polish (to polish shoe 2nd time in morning).then wakes up in morning at 7 and gears up for the office while some of us are still ironing clothes, others are waiting for their turn to get ready. This is my best friend disciplined krutin. but as time passed along with us he also forgot his discipline and enjoyed being not organized and messy. And I personally learned allot from him about being systematic and disciplined. One more thing krutin is very good batsman, he can face 3-4 bowler at a time with ease.(those who didn’t understand ,leave it :p )
Second pritam shinde, shy guy with his own interests. Sleeps early, wakes up early, when we used to be in sleep around morning 6, one can find him @ chai tapri near our villa. He was our room’s first local to start the day. Third rohan the guy with mischievous smile, when I remember rohan , I just remember his unique way of laughing ,speaks less and LOL’s but when he speaks, speaks up to the mark.
Special mention to our temporary roommate salendersigh aka paaji, guy with always smiling face whatever may be the situation. most of the time he used to spent in our room, from waiting in queue for ironing the clothes(our room was iron shop ) in morning to the telling us daily night Mahabharata stories. What a tremendous knowledge of Mahabharata he has,all the incidents with precise names of characters, we all were having fun in listening daily one story from him.(remembering the tune of Mahabharata ….. Mahabharata......).because of paaji only we used to get good north Indian food on every Sunday @gurudwara.
Transfer to Bangalore
Our life is not Bollywood movie which will always have happy
endings, certainly time comes to depart and go away from our loved ones even
though we don’t want to go. And finally the day came for our departure 21st June,
we 20 PES people got transfer to Bangalore suddenly. it was very painful for us
to leave you all guys with whom we enjoyed our stay for 2 months in Chennai,
had good bonding and attachments with all of you. But as rule of life goes “no
one stays together for life, just we have to move on with the memories of our
loved ones” we also moved to Bangalore with golden memories of time which we
spent together.
There are lots of things to write guys ,fun and challenges
in Bangalore are coming soon… till then signing off.
nice one bro,,, keep writing....
