Part 2:Bangalore Memories
21st June 2012 we landed in Bangalore, leaving
all our batch mates in Chennai. The very first difference I felt when I entered
in Bangalore was climate, cool and pleasant, unlike the super hot climate of Chennai.
Initial days were somewhat tough to adjust here, as we were missing our buddies
back in Chennai. But life moved on everyone over here was assigned to projects,
new team, and new friends. Even though we were in same campus, we could hardly
see each other once a while, casual hi –byes. I wonder how suddenly things got
changed, few days back; we were enjoying together without any formalities. But Its
life…move on!!!
Project and work
As we say These IT companies lacks innovation in work but I
must say they do lots of innovation in resource allocation to project. I am
from computer science background but don’t know what they saw in me ,and put me
in GSM/GPRS telecommunication project.(may be they saw some G’s I will invent..
like 4G.. 5G…some more G’s :P) initial time was very tough to learn telecom
concepts, I used to be in different frequency than my projects frequency.
Slowly I started camping on correct frequency, understood what all things
happen exactly when we talk on cell phone. For us it is normal to walk or drive
while talking on cell phone but mind it guys how many times handover happens
and how much messages get transferred in network, we user can’t even imagine.
Really developing GSM/GPRS network is huge and complicated task not as simple
as dialing a number for calling. I am sure in near future you will be making
call to your special one or downloading some really useful (:p) stuff from internet
by using this GSM network, in development of which I have also contributed. ;-)
Bangalore living and
fun
For 3 months we enjoyed royal treatment from the company,
but this was the time to search for rooms and PG. Our search for shelter ended
with Satya Sai PG,the glass covered full 5 star PG(atleast from outside),I
moved to our this new house with my punters Parth morjaria(moju, nadiyadi basu),Virendrakumar
heagade(one who always feels it’s time to hit the hay),Ashish yadav(churan
baba,boom boom boom),Abhijit khedlekar(music maestro),Sheetabh Tiwari(Shitya,The Debugger)Ashish
Sharma(chalata firata news channel, I just contact him to get daily news
instead of switching on to news channel, very much disciplined and timetable person).
I remember the
eagerness of all of us to explore the Bangalore. Visit to Iskcon temple, lukkhagiri
at MG and BRIGADE road(some exercise for eyes ),Saturday-Sunday evening snacks
at vadapav wala(though nothing can beat Mumbai’s vadapav),masala-tea at
Kesar, weekend walks to Hypercity and Cosmos, everything was filled with so much
of fun and freedom.Banglore is not only city of gardens but also city of malls,
missed a lot Mumbai in this case, as in Mumbai one can go to Chowpaty,Marin
drive, Bandstand,Worli sea face..Countless places. But here in Bangalore
exploring malls is the thing which we usually used to do.
Midnight birthday celebration was the best part at PG.Not
only birthday boy but also the walls of our PG (when birthday boys face is
missed : p) loved to have yummy cake . What a mess we did on Viru’s and Sheetabh’s bday, we almost painted
walls for free of cost. But here comes the twist,as every story has hitler,in
our story also there was a South Indian Hitler , our PG owner, who used to live
on top floor; Golkonda Reddy akka uncle.
Very next morning after bday celebration, noise will come in
typical south accent....”kisane karati ye? 200 rs. deti cleaning k liye”and we
all innocent people pretend like we don’t even know that who did that and who’s
bday it was.Till now you might have noticed the uncles hindi, what a hindi
guys,I bet no other entertainment can beat
listening to uncles hindi and
moju’s reply to uncle in his own style. Have a one laughing ride:
Moju:”uncle khane ko kya banati aaj?”
Uncle:”aaloo banati,daal banati,roti banati”
Moju: (bc sala aajbhi aaloo..isake to..$##) “uncle panner nahi banati… :p”
Uncle:”kya parth itane logo ko paneer
kaise banati..tum lake deti..”
And this laughter will go on and on every week.
Birthday celebration was just tip of iceberg, but the most
enjoyable moment which I remember is the Holi and New Year celebration in PG.
TALASH- (popat zala re.. :P)
Much hyped Amir Khan’s TALASH movie was about to release.
How can we, bunch of crazy people miss this opportunity to watch the movie? So
churan baba(ashish) booked the tickets online
for all of us. It was TUESDAY,from
morning only while going to office everyone was excited for going to movie show
@9:30 pm. Everyone winded up their work for the day quickly and came to room
around 7 pm and getting geared up for the movie. Took the bus, cool breeze were
flowing, climate was all set as usual. All were excited, meanwhile moju(parth)
was making speculations about movie story (typical moju ) and revealing the suspense
of the movie which he read in some newspapr.virya(viru) was giving him looks
like he was about to beat him up for revealing the story before watching movie.
Finally we reached the place.
Showed the tickets to security guard, went inside around
9:15(itana jaldi to exam hall me bhi nahi pohachate :P). moju and virya took
soft drinks and popcorns to kill the time before getting into the screen where
our show was about to start. Door opened we went inside, grabed our seats. Moju
was stretching his legs by putting it on next seat (local theatre).virya was in
movie mood with straw in his mouth.virya’s movie mood means, no one will
disturb him while watching movie, he will enjoy all the jokes and tragedy
himself. Even if bomb blast happens in theater he will not be bothered about
that.
Shitya, me and Churan baba in our own discussions.
Movie started with same gutakha and somoking warnings.
Meanwhile I saw group of 5 people staring towards our seat and coming towards us.
But we were so excited that we ignored them. Suddenly one of them came and said
to us that”
seat no.9?” We said “yes seat no-9”. He
said “actually
we are also having tickets for seat no.9 to 13”. We wondered how’s
that possible. We checked their tickets; they were also having tickets for the
same seats. What a bullshit theater they can’t even manage the tickets properly.
They were also abusing the theater owner with us. Meantime I asked Churan baba
to check our tickets. Movie was already started; people were getting disturbed
by this chaos in between. Churan baba showed tickets to me moju and shitya, seat
no. same 9-13 we got more angry on theatre owner, and then our eyes went on
day,it was WEDNESDAY on our
tickets. We were silent,Virya was enjoying his softdrink with straw in his mouth,
unaware of all this drama.Shitya ,Moju and Churan baba told those people you
wait here we will call the manager and
sort out, how can they give same tickets. They left the theater in hurry,
abusing manager loudly. There was no time for me to explain virya what was
happening,I saw towards his innocent face(:P) with straw in his mouth, and
told him “viru ithech bas salya aapali
seat sodu nako me baghun yeto baher, tya manager chya aaichi….#@3$”.viru as
usual trusted me and nodded his head. I ran out of the theater. Saw towards dumbass
people Shitya, Churan and Moju already laughing loudly outside theater. I also
joined them and we were laughing like hell. We forgot that Virya was still
inside theater.
After some time he came out, throwing his same straw which
was in his mouth. Abusing us for leaving him alone inside. All were just
laughing crazily. All were abusing Churan baba,he was about to get beaten up
badly. He only booked tickets for us.He was the culprit.Still we don’t know,
how we managed to get into theater without proper tickets not even guards
noticed. This was the biggest popat ever..:p memory for life time.
Finally we went next day same theater same seat to watch the
movie with proper tickets.
Stay tuned Guys, will come back with, more memories with my
punters and lots of other experiences.
